Immergas ARC Remote for Older Zeus 3.011236

Immergas ARC 3.011236, also known as Comando Amico Remoto, is a wired programmable controller developed for earlier generations of Immergas boilers. It is frequently described in the market as the “older Zeus remote”, but technically it is not a universal spare part for a single Zeus model. It is a separate controller used with a range of older Immergas boilers equipped with compatible electronics.ARC combines a weekly programmable room thermostat, the boiler's principal control panel and weather-compensated regulation when a compatible outdoor temperature sensor is fitted. The user can manage the domestic hot-water and heating-flow temperatures, summer and winter modes, Comfort and Economy room temperatures and a separate time schedule for each day of the week. The programme resolution is 30 minutes, allowing up to 48 time intervals within 24 hours.In modulating mode, the controller helps vary the heating-water temperature according to the difference between measured and selected room temperature. An ON/OFF operating mode can also be selected through the service setting. The display can show current and selected room temperatures, day of the week, time, heating-circuit temperature, outdoor-sensor temperature and diagnostic codes received from a compatible boiler.The device connects to the boiler using a polarised two-core cable. Permitted conductor cross-section is 0.5–2.5 mm² and maximum cable length is 50 metres. The clock and programme have an approximate eight-hour reserve during a power interruption. Comfort temperature can be set from +5 to +30 °C and Economy temperature from +5 to +25 °C. Frost protection activates when room temperature falls to approximately +5 °C.

Although ARC 3.011236 serves a purpose similar to the newer CAR V2, it is not automatically compatible with every newer boiler. Its instruction manual specifically states that it must not be connected to VICTRIX 50. When choosing it for an older Zeus, the complete boiler designation, year of manufacture and control-board code must be verified; ordering solely on the basis of the “Zeus” name is not sufficient.
