Giersch R20-ZS-L is a two-stage forced-draught oil burner designed for residential, commercial and medium-capacity boiler systems. It operates with light heating oil EL complying with DIN 51603.
The burner covers an output range of 36–166 kW. At an assumed boiler efficiency of 92%, the corresponding boiler-output range is approximately 33–153 kW. This makes the burner suitable for residential buildings, commercial properties, workshops and medium-sized boiler rooms.
Two-stage control allows the burner to operate at different output levels according to current heat demand. Minimum output is 36 kW on the first stage and 49 kW on the second stage. When heat demand increases, the second stage is activated to provide greater heating capacity.
An electrically operated air damper regulates combustion air for both stages. When the burner stops, the damper closes to help reduce unwanted airflow through the boiler and minimise standby heat losses.
A high-pressure fan and precision mixing system ensure the correct mixture of fuel and combustion air. The flame is monitored by a QRB4 photoelectric sensor, while the LMO24 burner-control unit manages ignition and safety functions.
