Giersch M10-Z-L is a two-stage forced-draught oil burner designed for commercial and industrial heating systems. It operates with light heating oil EL and covers a burner output range from 125 to 490 kW.

The burner can be used with hot-water and steam boilers, industrial heating equipment, drying systems and various process-heating installations. Its high fan pressure supports stable combustion under different combustion-chamber resistance conditions.

Two-stage operation allows the burner to switch between low and high output according to the system’s current heat demand. The first stage provides reduced output, while the second stage is activated when additional heating capacity is required. This helps maintain a more stable temperature and reduce unnecessary starts.

An electrically operated air shut-off damper regulates the combustion-air volume for both output stages. When the burner stops, the damper closes to help reduce unwanted airflow through the boiler and minimise standby heat losses.

The externally adjustable mixing system provides an efficient mixture of fuel and combustion air. The flame is monitored by an MZ 770 S flame detector, while start-up and safety functions are controlled by the DKO 972 burner control unit.
