Midea MCD1-48HRN1-R / MOU1-48HN1-R is a 48,000 BTU On/Off cassette air-conditioning system designed for offices, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, showrooms and other large commercial interiors. The indoor cassette chassis is recessed into the suspended ceiling, leaving the decorative air-distribution panel visible inside the room.

The system provides 14.08 kW cooling and 15.25 kW heating capacity. Rated electrical input is 5.20 kW in cooling and 4.80 kW in heating, with EER 2.71 and COP 3.20. The MOU1-48HN1-R uses a Panasonic Scroll fixed-speed On/Off compressor, so this model should not be described as an inverter air conditioner.

Midea specifies air outlet in all directions and wide-angle airflow for this model, supporting broad distribution of conditioned air across larger spaces. Fresh Air connection, Auto Restart, automatic defrost, Night Mode, refrigerant leakage detection and self-diagnosis are also included among its functions.
