Midea M4OB-36HFN8-Q is a Multi Split DC Inverter outdoor unit designed to operate up to four compatible indoor air-conditioning units from a single outdoor system. It provides a practical solution for apartments, villas, houses, offices and commercial properties where several rooms require individual climate control while minimising the number of outdoor units installed on the building façade.
Nominal cooling capacity is 36,000 BTU/h, approximately 10.55 kW. Midea's regional specification lists nominal heating at 37,000 BTU/h, approximately 10.84 kW, while the current equivalent M4O-36 platform reaches 11.14 kW maximum heating capacity. DC inverter technology continuously adapts compressor speed to the actual demand from the connected indoor units.
Four refrigerant connections are provided. Liquid piping is 4 × Ø6.35 mm, while the gas side uses 3 × Ø9.52 mm plus 1 × Ø12.7 mm. Maximum total piping length is 80 metres, with up to 35 metres for an individual indoor unit. Maximum height difference between indoor and outdoor units is 15 metres, while the maximum difference between indoor units is 10 metres.
The outdoor unit measures 946 × 410 × 810 mm and has a net weight of 68.8 kg. Outdoor airflow reaches 4000 m³/h. The system uses a GMCC rotary compressor and electronic expansion control. Power supply is 220–240 V / 50 Hz / single phase.
The M4OB-36HFN8-Q uses R32 refrigerant with a factory charge of 2.1 kg. Its outdoor operating range extends from -15°C to +50°C in cooling mode and -15°C to +24°C in heating mode.
