Valentina D’Acunti, Deputy Director of Institutional Relations and Head of Regulatory Strategies at Immergas, has been appointed Vice President of Assotermica. The appointment reflects the company’s long-standing contribution to technical standards, energy efficiency and the evolution of heating technologies.

Assotermica’s role in the heating sector

Assotermica operates within ANIMA Confindustria and represents manufacturers of appliances and components for heating systems. Its work covers technical regulation, implementation of European directives, building efficiency and the transition towards lower-emission solutions.

The transformation of the heating market involves more than product development. Safety rules, future energy carriers, building performance and the integration of several technologies all influence manufacturers, installers and end users. An industry association therefore provides an important forum for practical and technically sound decisions.

Extensive regulatory experience

D’Acunti joined Immergas in 2001 and has managed regulatory strategies since 2009. Her work includes Italian and European technical groups dealing with gas, heating and energy performance. Since 2025 she has also served as Deputy Director of Institutional Relations.

Her involvement with Assotermica began in 2003. Over the years she has led activities relating to residential gas boilers and served in the association’s governing bodies. The vice-presidency is a continuation of this long professional path.

A balanced approach to the energy transition

New European building-performance rules require solutions that can reduce emissions while remaining safe, affordable and technically feasible. Assotermica supports an integrated approach in which different technologies and energy sources are selected according to the characteristics of each building.

Immergas participation at this level brings practical experience in condensing technology, hybrid systems, heat pumps, renewable gases and smart controls into the wider industry discussion. The same principle is relevant for heating projects in Azerbaijan: lasting comfort depends on correct design, efficient equipment and reliable technical support.
