Stokda var

John Guest Speedfit PEX Barrier Pipe is designed for hot and cold water supply, central heating and hydronic underfloor-heating systems. Its flexible yet relatively rigid construction makes it suitable for both short and long pipe runs.

The pipe has a five-layer construction. Its inner and outer layers are made from PE-Xb, while the central EVOH oxygen barrier is bonded between the PEX layers using adhesive layers. The oxygen barrier limits the ingress of air into the system, helping reduce corrosion of boilers, radiators, manifolds and other metal components.

The flexibility of Speedfit PEX pipe enables some directional changes to be completed without additional elbows. Using fewer fittings can reduce installation time, material costs and the number of potential leakage points within the system.

The pipe is resistant to corrosion and scale build-up. Low thermal conductivity helps reduce surface temperature and heat loss compared with traditional metal pipework. Its elasticity can also reduce water-hammer noise and lower the risk of bursting under freezing conditions.

John Guest Speedfit PEX pipe is available in straight lengths and coils. A correctly sized John Guest pipe insert must be fitted inside the pipe when making a connection. Compatible Speedfit push-fit fittings allow installation without soldering, glue, flux or open flames.
