DAB IDEA 4-Inch Submersible Borehole Pump
DAB IDEA is a monoblock peripheral submersible pump range designed for installation in boreholes measuring 4 inches or larger. Its ability to generate high heads with limited motor power makes it suitable for domestic water supply, small agricultural applications, irrigation, lifting water from tanks and cisterns and pressurising pressure-vessel systems.
IDEA 75 and IDEA 100 models have a single peripheral brass impeller, while IDEA 150 uses two impellers. The operating flow range is 0.4–2.4 m³/h. Maximum head is 39 metres for IDEA 75, 52 metres for IDEA 100 and 90 metres for IDEA 150.
The pump body and motor support are manufactured from cast iron. The impeller is made of brass, while the rotor-shaft extension and inlet strainer are made of stainless steel. The two-pole asynchronous submersible motor has a dry design and is cooled externally by the pumped liquid. Its stator is encapsulated in an AISI 304L stainless-steel casing.
Single-phase M versions are equipped with a capacitor housed inside a strong, electrically insulated plastic enclosure. Suitable overload protection must be provided by the user for three-phase T versions. The pump is supplied with a removable 15-metre H07RN-F power cable and a 15-metre nylon lowering rope.
DAB IDEA is intended for pumping clean liquids that are free from solid or abrasive particles, non-viscous, non-aggressive, non-crystallised and chemically similar to water.
