Choosing a radiator: Fondital and Russkiy Radiator

A radiator transfers the heat of the hot water coming from a boiler or combi boiler into the room. Two radiators of the same size can differ a lot in heating speed, weight, system requirements and price, so the choice should not be made on appearance alone. First decide on the material, the output you need and the working pressure of your system.

Euroclima is the official representative of two brands in Azerbaijan: Fondital and Russkiy Radiator. Fondital is an Italian company known for aluminium radiators. Russkiy Radiator is a Russian brand of radiators designed for hot-water heating systems. You can browse the models of both brands in the sections above.

      How to choose the material

Aluminium radiators heat up and cool down quickly and are light. They suit private houses and apartments where the room temperature has to be adjusted fast with a thermostat. Their low weight also makes wall mounting easier.

Steel panel radiators have a simple design and are affordable. They give off heat both by radiation and by air circulation. In systems with poor water quality, internal corrosion needs attention.

Bimetal radiators have a steel core and an aluminium outer shell, so they withstand high pressure. They are often chosen for multi-storey buildings and centralised systems. Check the maximum working pressure of your system before deciding.

      Vertical and horizontal radiators

Horizontal radiators are the most common type and are usually installed under the window. This position heats the room evenly and blocks the cold air coming from the glass. Vertical radiators are used where wall space is limited, in narrow corridors, in rooms where the area under the window is blocked, and in interiors that call for a different design solution.

      Fondital radiators

Fondital is an Italian company known for aluminium radiators. This section offers aluminium radiators for private houses, apartments, offices and commercial buildings. Aluminium radiators work well with combi boilers and condensing boilers because they heat the room quickly even at low water temperatures. The size, number of sections and heat output of each model are shown on its product page.

      Russkiy Radiator

Russkiy Radiator is a Russian brand producing radiators for hot-water heating systems. The products stand out for their technical characteristics and design, and are used in private houses, offices, restaurants and the heating systems of large buildings. As the official representative, Euroclima also provides after-sales technical support for this brand.

How to calculate the required output

For rooms with a standard ceiling height (about 2.7 m), a rough estimate is 100 W of heat output per 1 m² of floor area. For a corner room, a large window, weak insulation or a ground floor, increase this figure by 15-20%. Our engineers can also make a quick estimate for you. For a project that needs an exact result, the calculation should be done by an engineer.

      Installation and connection

Keep the radiator at the recommended distance from the wall and the window sill, and fit every unit with an air vent and a shut-off valve. If air stays in the system, the upper part of the radiator remains cold and the room does not warm up properly. After a new installation or repair, bleed the air from all radiators when filling the system for the first time.

      Frequently asked questions

Is an aluminium radiator suitable for a combi boiler? Yes. Aluminium radiators work well with combi boilers because they heat up fast and react quickly to temperature changes. The working pressure of the system must not exceed the allowed pressure of the radiator.

How is the number of sections chosen? Divide the total heat output the room needs by the output of one section and round the result up. The output of a section depends on the model and the water temperature, so take the exact figure from the product page.

When should a radiator be replaced? Replace it if it leaks, is clogged inside and heats unevenly, or does not match the pressure of the system.

      Working with Euroclima

If you find it hard to pick the model and the number of sections, send us the room size and the type of your heating system (combi boiler, boiler, central heating). Our engineers will choose a suitable option. Installation and after-sales technical support are also available.
