Brass Threaded Nipples
Brass threaded nipples are important connecting components used to join and extend pipework in plumbing, heating and HVAC systems. External threads on both ends allow the fitting to create a secure connection between compatible female-threaded pipes, valves and other equipment. They are primarily used to join components of the same diameter or extend a pipe run.
Manufactured from brass, these fittings provide high mechanical strength and good resistance to corrosion. These properties make them suitable for long-term use in water-supply, heating and HVAC installations. Brass also withstands temperature fluctuations and system pressure. The permitted working pressure and temperature must be determined according to the specifications of the individual fitting.
The threaded construction simplifies the installation process. No welding is required, and the connection can be completed quickly using suitable tools. It also allows pipework to be disconnected and reassembled more conveniently during maintenance or repair.
PTFE tape, sealing cord or another suitable thread-sealing material should be applied correctly to produce a leak-resistant connection. Selecting the correct size, thread standard and sealing method ensures reliable and durable operation.
Brass threaded nipples are used in radiator connections, water-supply lines, heating systems, pump and manifold connections and industrial pipe networks. They are available in various diameters and can be connected to metal, plastic and composite pipe systems through compatible female-threaded adapters.
A correctly selected brass nipple contributes to reliable pipework, faster installation and easier future maintenance. It is therefore a widely used connection component in domestic and professional engineering systems.
